AFP officer charged with sex offences
An Australian Federal Police officer has been charged with sex offences against a young person.
The 35-year-old Palmerston man is accused of grooming, acts of indecency and maintaining a sexual relationship with the minor.
He is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday.
The man was suspended from duty last month.
"All AFP members are expected to behave at all times in a manner that upholds the organisation's core values, reputation and integrity - consistent with community expectations," the force said in a statement.
"As this matter is before court it would not be appropriate to make any further comment."
