A police siege in Kirwan has come to a end, with a crime scene declared.
The Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) surrounding Elphinstone Drive was revoked at 6.45am.
Police entered the dwelling and located a 50-year-old man deceased.
It comes after officers attended Elphinstone Drive at 8pm last night to reports of a disturbance.
The man allegedly fired several shots hitting surrounding houses, a car and responding police vehicles.
No other persons were physically injured.
Ethical Standards Command will overview the operation.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

An emergency declaration was set up around 9pm following reports of gunshots, and remains in place this morning.
Police say an armed man – who is alone – has barricaded himself in home on Elphinstone Street.
The exclusion zone encompasses Dalrymple Road, Kern Brothers Drive, Sandstone Drive, and Golf Links Drive.
Residents within the exclusion zone are urged to stay inside their properties and lock the doors.
Specialist police have responded and emergency operations are ongoing.
