Police have charged three teenagers with property offences on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 4.45pm police received information that three teenagers were observed walking away from a stolen Toyota Kluger on the corner of Edison Street and Newton Street, Wulguru.
The vehicle had allegedly been involved in a single vehicle traffic crash into a tree.
Police conducted patrols in the area and located two boys and one girl on Charters Towers Road and they were subsequently arrested.
Police will allege that at about 3.30am on December 3, a Toyota Kluger was stolen from a Laguna Ave address.
A 13-year-old Kirwan boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, enter dwelling and commit, enter premises and commit indictable offence, enter dwelling with intent in company, attempted enter dwelling with intent at night and stealing. He will be appearing in the Townsville Children’s court later this month.
A 13-year-old Vincent girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, enter dwelling and commit and enter dwelling with intent. She will be appearing in the Townsville Children’s court later this month.
An 11-year-old Garbutt boy was charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence, attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, enter dwelling and commit, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, enter dwelling with intent. He was dealt with under the Youth Justices Act.
