A man and a woman have been charged in relation to the alleged murder of a 39-year-old man in Railway Estate.
Police allege shortly after 4.30am last Wednesday a 32-year-old Jensen woman entered a home on Eleventh Avenue and seriously assaulted the man, before fleeing the scene in a car.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found the man unconscious with a critical stab wound to his chest.
He was declared dead at the scene a short time later.
On Monday detectives arrested the 32-year-old woman at a Texas Road property.
She has been charged with one count each of murder, enter dwelling with intent at night in company, threatening violence and deprivation of liberty.
She’s set to face Townsville Magistrates Court in October.
A 37-year-old Beach Holm man has also been charged with the same offences, also set to face court in Townsville.
