Woman hospitalised with stab wound following alleged assault at Aitkenvale

Investigations are ongoing after the alleged assault of a woman at Aitkenvale.

Emergency services were called to a private address around 11.00pm last night, where they found a woman with a stab wound.

Police say they were called to reports of a disturbance between two women.

One of the women was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition for treatment.
