Teen Robber Targets Mum And Bub At Hyde Park
A teenage boy has been charged, accused of targeting a woman pushing a pram at a Hyde Park shopping centre on June 8.
It will be alleged that at about 3.30pm, the 16-year-old boy followed a woman with her child down the travellator inside the shopping centre through to the carpark.
It will be further alleged that whilst the victim was placing her child into the car, the boy has reached into the victim’s handbag, which was in the bottom of the child’s pram and removed her wallet before running off.
On Monday at approximately 11.40am, Police went to a shopping centre in Hyde Park and spoke with a 16-year-old Garbutt boy in relation to a stealing complaint from Sunday, June 8.
The 16-year-old was arrested and charged with one count of stealing and was dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
