UPDATE | Woman Shot In Townsville
UPDATE | A 47-year-old Alice River man is facing court on Thursday over a shooting incident.
He has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was shot in the head at her Rangewood home.
The 40-year-old was confronted by the alleged attacker as she opened her garage Wednesday morning.
She wrestled with the man before managing to get to safety by rolling under her parked car.
Senior Sergeant Joe Matheson said the woman's husband and a tradie tried to intervene, but they were also allegedly attacked.
"The husband has come out, attempted to protect his wife and kicked out at the offender,
"He has then called on assistance and a male tradesperson working in the area has attended and been struck to the back of the head with a claw hammer," he said.
Neighbours were eventually able to restrain the accused man, with three people being taken to hospital including the woman who was in a serious condition.
UPDATE | A woman has received a head injury consistent with a gunshot wound in Rangewood on Wednesday.
At 8.20 AM, a 40-year-old woman was leaving an address on Gibralta Road when she opened the garage door she sustained an injury to the side of her head.
The woman and a man then wrestled before the woman managed to crawl under a car to escape further injury.
A 53-year-old man who was inside the home at the time helped the woman by wrestling with the man and injured his foot in the process.
A nearby tradesmen tried to help the injured man but was struck from behind with a claw hammer.
Neighbours ran to help the injured men and woman and were able to restrain the alleged offender and provide first aid.
The 40-year-old woman, 53-year-old man and the tradesman aged 39, were all taken to Townsville Hospital.
A 47-year-old Alice River man is currently assisting police with inquiries.
Investigations are continuing.
UPDATE | Four people are in hospital after shots were reportedly fired in Rangewood.
One woman is in a serious condition and two men are in a stable condition according to 7 NEWS.
They have been transported to Townsville Hospital while one man has been taken into custody 7 NEWS reports.

Four of them have been taken to Townsville Hospital, with one in a serious condition and three in a stable condition.

Vision shows five police cars remain at the scene on Gibraltar Road.
There are reports that a person has been shot in the head in Rangewood.
Police got the call at 8:20 AM on Wednesday and have located a firearm according to 7 NEWS.
They are also reporting one man is in custody.
The QAS said the victim has been taken to Townsville Hospital with serious injuries but would not confirm gender or any other details.
