Council has joined the call to help catch vandals on Magnetic Island.

Signs and turtle nesting fences have been destroyed in the past week as well as the Radical Bay piano that Star 106.3's Crystal and Brady replaced.

Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney has lashed out at vandals that have caused damage across Magnetic Island.

“It is disgusting that our prime tourism destination, which attracts visitors year round is being defaced and that signs, fences and beaches are being ruined by selfish and irresponsible people," Cr Greaney said.

“It is not good enough and our community deserves better – all of these things require money to replace and fix and it is money that is better spent on projects that benefit all of our residents.

“I am asking for anyone that has any information about this destruction and vandalism to contact Policelink on 131 444 and share it with them so that the perpetrators are held to account.”

A $1,450 reward is being offered for information regarding the Radical Bay piano.
