Ahmed Ismael has been released on $25,000 bail and ordered to report to police three times a week after appearing briefly in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
The 69-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences including possessing more than three unregistered firearms, two counts of not keeping a prohibited firearm safely, two counts of possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm and possessing a defaced firearm.
He has also been forced to surrender his passport and will appear again at Bankstown Local Court on January 30.
