Whenever I see a new Game of Thrones show the first thing I do is check who the writers are, I won’t be hurt again…
HBO this morning released the first look trailer for a new series coming next year to their streaming service. The newest show is another edition to the Westeros world as created by George R. R. Martin. This new series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, is set 100 years before the events of the main series Game of Thrones.
This new series follows a knight of Westeros, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his squire Egg. The pair will travel the seven kingdoms and encounter enemies, friends, and great battles. At the time the show is set it is the Targaryen family still in rule. But as the House of the Dragon series is still unfinished at the time of this releasing I suspect they may stay clear of revealing the history of the current king as to not reveal how exactly that story ends. (Even though it’s already mentioned in Game of Thrones how Rhaenyra’s life unfolds.)
