Allen’s is bringing back five fan favourites for a limited time after years of passionate requests.
Green Frogs are hopping back onto supermarket shelves for the first time in more than a decade. Black Cats, Mad About Teeth and Spearmint Leaves join them! All available exclusively at Woolworths from 29 July until 1 September 2026 (or until they sell out). Meanwhile, exclusively at Coles, Allen’s Bananas are also back in a special 300-gram value pack. These throwback lollies celebrate some of the treats that have earned a special place in Australian hearts (and the lolly hall of fame).
Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, Shannon Wright, said: “When it comes to nostalgic lollies, Allen’s fans are passionate about their return. At Allen’s, we love creating new treats, but occasionally it’s fun to dip back into the lolly archives to bring back some fan favourites. These come-back lollies are all about giving fans a chance to reconnect with nostalgic treats and sweet memories. Some lollies are simply too iconic to stay in retirement!”
Australia has a long love affair with these classics, and everyone has their own favourites. Banana lollies started life as a hard banana-flavoured sweet before evolving into the softer, chewier version we know and love in the 1950s. They’re truly OG. The only Allen’s lollies older than the Bananas are Minties (released in 1922), Fantales (1928) and Jaffas (1931).
Allen’s itself is one of Australia’s oldest confectionery brands, founded in 1891 by Alfred Allen in a little shop in Melbourne’s Fitzroy.
