Roll Recall

August 14, 2026 9:30 am in by

If you’ve recently picked up some brioche rolls from IGA, you might want to check the packet before making your next sandwich.

What’s The Problem?

The packaging failed to declare milk and egg allergens, which means people with allergies may not have realised they were eating them.

The affected rolls have a best before date of 5 August 2026 and were sold through independent retailers, including IGA stores in Queensland.

Check Your Rolls

If you’ve got a packet at home, don’t eat it. You can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

For most people, there’s nothing to panic about, but for anyone with a milk or egg allergy, the missing information could be a serious problem.

So, before you roll your eyes and tuck into that brioche, have a quick look at the date.

Because apparently even bread can’t be trusted these days. 🥖
