A Cairns man has been charged over an assault in Cairns and an alleged hit and run incident at Ingham.
Police allege the 39-year-old Cairns man seriously assaulted a 41-year-old man at a Brinsmead address on Sunday, which resulted in the victim seeking treatment for an eye injury.
On March 10 it’s further alleged the man was involved in a hit and run incident, in a stolen vehicle, at Ingham.

The vehicle had allegedly been stolen from Brinsmead earlier that day.
The 39-year-old was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, driving without due care and attention, failing to comply with duties at a traffic crash, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs and drug utensils.
