Eight people have been taken to hospital or treated by paramedics due to e-scooter or bike related injury.
Locally, at Wulguru and paramedics got the call out just before 6pm on Sunday night.
A girl in her teens was taken to Townsville University Hospital after falling from the e-scooter on Stuart drive.
It’s understood she was taken in a stable condition with hip pain.
Across the state and several other incidents occurred – with the e-devices quickly becoming a scourge for healthcare workers.
These include incidents at Kepnock in Bundaberg, the Gold Coast, Yeppoon, Gladstone and Stafford Heights, Fortitude Valley and New Farm at Brisbane.
