Four people have been arrested following a major police operation targeting the supply and distribution of dangerous drugs across North Queensland.

Operation Xray Redshift, led by the Major Organised Crime Squad (MOCS) Northern, wrapped up on January 13 after detectives executed search warrants at an Alligator Creek property and a vehicle -seizing large amounts of methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis, along with more than $400,000 in cash and several firearms.

A 24‑year‑old Townsville man is facing a long list of charges, including trafficking and supplying dangerous drugs, weapons offences and possessing counterfeit money. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on March 6.

A 28‑year‑old Cairns man has also been charged with trafficking and supplying dangerous drugs. He remains in custody and will front Cairns Magistrates Court in April.

Two Townsville women — aged 24 and 59 — are facing a range of drug‑related charges and are expected to appear in court later this month.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Andrew Bye said the operation delivered a significant blow to organised criminal activity in the region.

He said removing dangerous drugs and weapons from circulation has clear benefits for community safety, and officers will continue to target those involved in the supply chain.

Police investigations remain ongoing, and further arrests have not been ruled out.
