Hess’s season ends with suspension as Cowboys welcome back forwards

North Queensland Cowboys prop Coen Hess will miss the remainder of the season after accepting an early guilty plea for a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge from Sunday’s loss to the Parramatta Eels.

The suspension rules the 28-year-old out for three matches.

The Cowboys will regain some firepower for Saturday’s clash with the Newcastle Knights in Townsville.

Jordan McLean and Tom Mikaele return from injury, Karl Lawton is back after a two-game suspension, and Harrison Edwards has been cleared to play following a blood infection that kept him out last week.
