A police officer will appear in Townsville Magistrates Court next month, facing serious accusations of misconduct and computer hacking.

It’s alleged a 31-year-old male senior constable from the Northern Region has been charged with computer hacking and misuse, as well as misconduct committed while on duty.

Queensland police have said the allegations against the member have not been substantiated. The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on June 2, 2025.
