Townsville Tactical Crime Squad officers have seized significant quantities of drugs in two separate incidents across the city.
Around 12.30am on April 18, officers intercepted a vehicle on Munroe Street in Wulguru, where an emergent search uncovered cannabis, LSD, MDMA, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. A 19‑year‑old South Townsville man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and will face the Townsville Magistrates Court on May 15.
Later that afternoon, officers executed a search warrant at a Nathan Street home in Aitkenvale, locating another large quantity of cannabis. A 65‑year‑old Palm Island woman was charged with supplying and possessing dangerous drugs and is due to appear in court on May 11.
