A man has been airlifted to hospital after he was accidentally shot in the chest with a spear gun on Magnetic Island.
Paramedics were called to a private residence in Nelly Bay around 10.35pm on Saturday.
The man in his 20s has been flown to Townsville Hospital in a serious condition with a chest injury.
