A dangerous convoy of stolen cars has tore its way through the city over three days before police finally brought it to a halt. A 20‑year‑old woman and seven children are accused of stealing four vehicles, a Ford Ranger, Isuzu MUX, Toyota Tundra and Kia K4, using them to ram police, speed through red lights and drive on the wrong side of the road.

On Sunday night when a 29 year old Bushland Beach resident was dragged by his own vehicle while trying to stop offenders fleeing his Minstrel Court property. He suffered non‑life‑threatening injuries.

By Monday morning, the stolen convoy was allegedly targeting police. Officers in an unmarked car on Ross River Road were forced to take evasive action as the Tundra and Ranger approached at high speed with high beams on, before the Tundra allegedly rammed the police vehicle multiple times. Later that morning, the same Tundra allegedly slammed into another police car in Hermit Park.

The chase escalated across the city, with Polair, the Tactical Crime Squad, dog squad and general duties crews tracking the vehicles as they allegedly ran red lights and reached extreme speeds. Tyre‑deflation devices finally stopped the Ranger on Dalrymple Road and the Kia K4 in Kirwan, with ten young offenders fleeing on foot. Eight have now been charged with a combined 41 offences.

Police are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam from Bushland Beach, Cranbrook, Hermit Park or Kirwan to come forward as investigations continue.
