The wait is almost over. With just four weeks to go until launch, Rockstar Games has dropped the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving players their biggest look yet at the chaos waiting in Leonida.
Set against a booming track titled “Flower in a Hurricane” (crafted by Justice with features from Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) the trailer sets a wild, neon-soaked tone. The story puts protagonists Jason and Lucia front and centre. After an “easy” score goes sideways, the duo gets trapped in a criminal conspiracy across the darkest corners of America’s sunniest state. Surviving it means learning to trust each other, whether they want to or not.
Beyond the cinematic preview, fans got another piece of good news. Studio heads Phil Hooker and Aaron Garbut revealed that future projects shouldn’t take another decade to arrive. Because the team spent years rebuilding their engine and core tools from scratch, Rockstar can now reuse that tech rather than reinventing the wheel each time.
Grand Theft Auto VI officially hits consoles on 19 November, with a PC release likely to follow mid-next year.
