Four people have been charged after allegedly attempting to take prohibited liquor into Palm Island.
Between August 25 and 27, police patrolling the Palm Island Ferry arrivals intercepted three women and a man with a total of 75L of wine, 6L of rum and 2.6L of pre-mix spirits.
On August 25, a 23-year-old Cranbrook woman and a 51-year-old Palm Island woman were both charged with prohibition of possession of liquor in a restricted area.
They are both due to appear in Palm Island Magistrates Court today.
On August 26, a 36-year-old Palm Island man was charged with prohibition of possession of liquor in a restricted area. He is due to appear in Palm Island Magistrates Court on September 13.
On August 27, a 37-year-old Palm Island woman was charged with prohibition of possession of liquor in a restricted area. She is due to appear in Palm Island Magistrates Court on September 13.
