Two teenage boys have been charged after allegedly stealing a car from Rockhampton and crashing it in Townsville.
Police say a Toyota RAV4 was taken from a Rockhampton address on Wednesday around 12.15am and was later reported driving dangerously across Townsville around 10.30am.
Officers deployed tyre spikes just before midday yesterday and the Rav4 then collided with a Suzuki Swift at the intersection of Charles and Anne Street.
The two teenagers fled from the vehicle and police located them in Wotton Street a short time later.
The female driver of the Suzuki was not physically injured in the crash.
A 17-year-old Konngal boy and a 16-year-old Vincent boy have both been charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle and unlawfully enter yard.
They will appear in the Townsville Childrens Court tomorrow today.
Investigations are ongoing.
